Meet Kendall.  No, really, meet Kendall.  She is one of those little gems that will become your new, instant best friend.  We had a super fun session shooting in Downtown Woodstock, Georgia.

I always arrive to my sessions early to “scout” the locations and light, even if I have been there before.  Well, I am so so glad that I did, because Dog, The Bounty Hunter was making an appearance, or book signing, or something, right where I had originally intended to shoot most of our session.  It was super funny, because there were at least two HUNDRED people waiting for Dog’s arrival 2 hours later….. we definitely got a good chuckle out of that.

Keeping up with Miss Kendall was most definitely a challenge, but so so fun, as she has the BEST expressions and mannerisms.

Enjoy your sneak peek!

I was pumped when my friend Melissa from high school contacted me about photographing her beautiful family.  I was EVEN MORE excited when she responded to me with this email about a possible location:

“R actually suggested our house (well, yard). We live on 4 acres and we have some woods and a big field and our next door neighbors have a

50 acre horse farm with a nice looking fence down one side of our property.

I forget how beautiful it can be sometimes since I see it everyday.  Do you think that might work?”

Words just cannot express how excited I was to read this email!  Anyone who knows me, and of my photography, is that I LOVE to get off the beaten path and photograph in natural, rustic settings.  Especially when it somewhere where the children and my subjects can feel at ease and at “home.”

I think that you will agree that the session was a smash hit.

Enjoy!  I will have your gallery up this week!

This image is my favorite of the session.  I love the protective look that he has over his family… I just absolutely love it.  :)

I was so excited last week when driving around downtown Kennesaw, Georgia to scout for my session with these two cuties and I found an AWESOME field of purple wildflowers…. It was seriously like something out of a magazine.  And what a picture perfect model I had too!  ;)  She was very into picking the flowers, smelling them, it was a photographer’s dream.

I photographed baby C when she was just a few days old, and she just turned one!  Where does the time go?  However, she was feeling a little under the weather so I will be doing another session for just her later this week.

Enjoy your sneak peek!

I took my sweet boy out at sunset (my FAVORITE time to photograph…) into an overgrown field by our house.  He is my challenging subject, by far.  He has so much personality and will not sit still for very long, so I definitely have to take a lifestyle approach with him.

Enjoy!

This is Junior.  And he is a teacup Yorkie.  And so so sweet!  He was a little cold and shy at our short session, but I definitely captured him!

We went out in the yard to photograph him, and apparently he has been swooped at by hawks before, eek!!!  He is THAT little.

After meeting Junior, I ALMOST want to get a little dog….

:)

Enjoy!

Meet Huey.  The cutest and most sassy beagle you will ever meet.  I enjoy photographing pets!  However, believe it or not, I sometimes find it much much more challenging than a crying newborn or a running toddler….

It is almost as if animals have an extra sense that allows them to know exactly what we are thinking, and what we want them to do.  Then they do the opposite~
