This gorgeous little dude and his adoring parents are seriously my favorite clients…. I first met them when I photographed him when he was 8 days old, and again before the Holidays.  And I am always AMAZED at how much little ones grow when you don’t see them for a few months!  Most of my recent clients have been repeats, and I truly enjoy building relationships with my families and watching their children grow up.  And when the children are comfortable with someone, it shows in the pictures!

We could not have picked a better day for our session!  After a week of rain, we met on Saturday and it was gorgeous with blue skies and a nice breeze.  The following day was more rain (we have had a TON of rain here in Georgia over the past few months).

Enjoy your sneak peek, your gallery will be up next week!

I was pumped when my friend Melissa from high school contacted me about photographing her beautiful family.  I was EVEN MORE excited when she responded to me with this email about a possible location:

“R actually suggested our house (well, yard). We live on 4 acres and we have some woods and a big field and our next door neighbors have a

50 acre horse farm with a nice looking fence down one side of our property.

I forget how beautiful it can be sometimes since I see it everyday.  Do you think that might work?”

Words just cannot express how excited I was to read this email!  Anyone who knows me, and of my photography, is that I LOVE to get off the beaten path and photograph in natural, rustic settings.  Especially when it somewhere where the children and my subjects can feel at ease and at “home.”

I think that you will agree that the session was a smash hit.

Enjoy!  I will have your gallery up this week!

This image is my favorite of the session.  I love the protective look that he has over his family… I just absolutely love it.  :)

I was so excited last week when driving around downtown Kennesaw, Georgia to scout for my session with these two cuties and I found an AWESOME field of purple wildflowers…. It was seriously like something out of a magazine.  And what a picture perfect model I had too!  ;)  She was very into picking the flowers, smelling them, it was a photographer’s dream.

I photographed baby C when she was just a few days old, and she just turned one!  Where does the time go?  However, she was feeling a little under the weather so I will be doing another session for just her later this week.

Enjoy your sneak peek!

I absolutely adore this family, and I was so so excited to be able to capture baby S’s cake smash and one year old session.  I have been photographing her since she was about 5 days old.  :)

She was AWESOME for us, let us change her clothes multiple times, just sat there and looked pretty!  She was not tooooo into the cake, but just enough to get some good shots.

Enjoy your sneak peek!

This is my absolute favorite image.  I have had this in my head for a long, long time and finally got it!

Meet Heather.  I think the picture speaks for itself.  Totally impromptu, no makeup, she is just gorgeous.

I just returned from the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada after attending the WPPI 2010 convention and tradeshow.  It was just an awesome experience all the way around.  I learned a TON, met tons of new photographer friends, had some laughs, and came home ready to jump start some new ideas and skills for my business.  On Monday night I went around with my awesome webguys (such a term of endearment, really….) from Photobiz.com for a mini photoshoot.  I had an absolute blast!  As many of you know, I was most definitely outside of my comfort zone with this shoot.  I use mostly natural light, or controlled and metered studio lighting, for the majority of my sessions.  This session was most definitely a challenge for me as far as working with ambient light and off camera flash.  But I’m super pleased with the results!  It feels awesome to step out of your comfort zone every once in awhile!

Below are some pictures of my Vegas shoot and from my trip in general.

Enjoy!

And yours truly with the most awesome security guard ever!  I just HAD to get my picture with him!  (point and shoot disclaimer…)

I have had a ton of “tween” sessions lately, and I have to admit that this age group is my favorite to photograph (besides newborns, of course!)  These two definitely get their good looks from their mom and dad, and they were so much fun to work with!  We had an unusually warm winter day here in Atlanta, and I am just so pleased that it was not freezing cold.

Enjoy your sneak peek!  Gallery is coming soon!

Just some snaps of my sweet son, during his favorite time of the day, BATHTIME!!!  He will play forever in the tub, until he is a wrinkled up little prune!  I love these sweet, innocent childhood moments.

Enjoy!
