Amber + Nick | Marietta Square Engagement Session | Marietta Wedding Photography

I was SO excited for Amber and Nick’s engagement session because it is finally SPRING and there is so much in gorgeous bloom that I wanted to incorporate into our session. A few days before the session, I drove around the Marietta Square on a mission to find a great spot in bloom with purple wisteria. The location that I found was nothing short of amazing (despite the fact that it was an abandoned tract of land in the middle of development). During the golden hour right before sunset, we got blessed with the most amazing light. And my subjects weren’t bad either! Amber and Nick will have a fall Whitlock Inn Wedding, and I’m so excited to share their special day!

Ashley + John | Engagement Photography in Atlanta | Primrose Cottage Wedding

The moment I met Ashley and John at a Starbucks in Marietta, Georgia for our initial wedding photography consultation, I knew that we were a perfect fit! We had to reschedule their Engagement Photography in Atlanta two separate times due to weather, so with the third time being the charm, I traveled down to Macon, Georgia and captured their engagement session there. Their session, although captured during the dead of winter, turned out vibrant and unique, just like the couple! They have such a casual, laid back ease about them, and their love for one another is radiant. Both are about to finish law school and start the next chapter of their lives, together! I love Ashley to death because although I left their consultation confident that we would be working together for their wedding and engagement photography, I only made it about two traffic lights until I checked my iPhone and she had already emailed to say they would be thrilled to have me as their photographer!

Their wedding will be held in early spring at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, Georgia.

2012 was simply a fantastic year for me personally and professionally! So many new clients have been added to my photography family! I had a record-breaking year in the number of weddings and portrait/newborn sessions I photographed, and I had many, many repeat clients, and many new faces as well! While more and more people are finding me online, the bread and butter of my business are your word of mouth referrals! I am humbled and grateful when my clients talk me up, so from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! I’ve been looking forward to photographing these two since I met with Jamie many months ago to go over the details of their day (their wedding reception will be at The Piedmont Room at Piedmont Park, so fun!) and get to know her. They were a little hesitant to book an engagement session, and I’m SO glad they did! Engagement sessions are my favorite type of portraits to shoot, and I really enjoy the opportunity to get to know my clients a little better, get a feel for their style and personalities, and capture some great images! We chose an urban location in Atlanta’s up and coming Westside district for their engagement session, found some awesome skyline views, some stone walls and lots of awesome buildings and texture! I’m so looking forward to celebrating your wedding in April!

Allison + Jeff | Roswell Engagement Photographer | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

I love photographing two people in love. Frankly, it is one of the happiest things to me, and I am always so honored to have the opportunity to do so. I photographed Allison and Jeff’s engagement session in Downtown Roswell, Georgia. Canton Street in Roswell is a place they like to dine and shop, and also has special meaning to them, so it was a fantastic choice for an engagement session. I was able to achieve both natural and urban looks for their session, which I love being able to do! We just about got rained out, but we held tight for a bit and it ended up being a gorgeous (though humid!) July night. They are getting married in November, and I can’t wait to celebrate!

Nine Street Kitchen hosts a super cute “Bring a Picnic” evening on their lawn, where they provide blankets, small chairs, tables, umbrellas, the works. Allison and I agreed that it was a unique spot for a photo. Jeff however, was not as convinced. But he was a trooper and went along with anything asked of him!

Jennifer + Matt = Engaged!
