Welcome home baby Taylor - Atlanta Studio Newborn Session
Sep 10, 2019
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful baby boy's newborn session recently at my Atlanta, Georgia newborn studio. His daddy has been a friend of mine for over 20 years! We worked together as lifeguards many, many years ago and when I sat down to figure up how long we've known each other, I was shocked. I loved meeting his lovely wife for the first time, and we chatted about all sorts of stuff during our newborn session. My favorite part of my job is meeting so many new people! I always love hearing their birth stories and about their adventures as new parents! Sweet Taylor had already had an outing to Target and Starbucks when he came to me just under two weeks old!
I love incorporating parents' (and even siblings!) hands with a sleepy, content baby. These sort of images tell a story without any words, which is one of the reasons I love newborn photography so much. I also adore dressing baby in a simple, timeless onesie to start the session - it lends well to the timeless and classic nature of my newborn portraits.
As a newborn photographer, I generally meet people within about 2 weeks after giving birth (and usually after a few back-to-back sleepless nights). Hormones are in crazy mode, your body is in this weird state, and often you just feel tired and overwhelmed. I love being able to provide a relaxing environment for my clients to just sit and relax for a few hours. Being one of the first people trusted to handle your brand new baby is not something I take lightly. I give them the utmost care while they are with me (and try to give you a little break by taking care of diaper changes!). Cuddling on these little ones and lovingly talking to and soothing them while I wrap and pose them is one of my very favorite things to do. Loving on your babies is such a treat!
Here are some of my favorite images from this Newborn Session! This family has a gorgeous wall gallery that I've designed for them being installed soon, can't wait to share the finished product!
