Your wedding day is a day that you've spent a lifetime daydreaming about. So many details, colors and pretty things. The dress, flowers, your handsome husband-to-be. The amazing dance party where all of your friends and family, the people most important to you, come together for the same joyful reason! To celebrate the two of you!
As your wedding photographer, I aim to capture your day as a whole - to tell a story - from the details of your vintage lace veil to the way the two of you looked at each other and danced the night away. If I could only choose one word to describe my work, it would be Authentic. Every wedding is uniquely and beautifully different, as are each of my couples. It is my job to make you feel at ease and comfortable in front of my camera. When that happens, natural and beautiful photographs result. These photographs will be a true reflection of the two of you - your joy and surrounding love on your wedding day.
I'll be your veil straightener, train bustler, emergency kit toting long lost friend! I'll crack some jokes to evoke some real, amazing laughs and emotion. I will wrangle unruly groomsmen and I'll hug you tight at the end of the night!
THE ART OF STORYTELLING
Walking down the aisle on your Dad's arm, your heart races as you step toward your future husband. Your best friend. The man you waited your whole life to find. You catch your mom's eye as she's reaching for a tissue. At this moment you realize, you're not walking down the aisle, you're floating.
Later at the reception, when I look around, I can see why you're so elated. Laughter, large smiles, and hugs welcoming hugs surround you. Family is everywhere.
When you're on the dance floor with your father, I'm watching. Closely. Your dad laughs and glides you around the room like he used to do when you were little…only now you're not standing on his shoes.
As though he realizes this, the laughter slows, his eyes fill with loving tears and he softly kisses your forehead.
Scanning the room again, I see your groom looking on with adoration as he realizes just how big the shoes are that he has to fill. A gentle smile appears on his face as if to say he's up to the challenge. And he is. He's honored.
Thunder fills the air and for just a brief moment you fear an afternoon shower will be the uninvited guest to your outdoor wedding, but you stop yourself from worrying because as you look around, you realize rain doesn't matter. You, your groom, and your family. It's all you need.
